The Directorate of Academic Planning (DAP) of National Open University of Nigeria was established in year 2010, with Professor Femi Peters as the pioneer Director. He was succeeded by Professor Stanley Ngoa in 2014, who headed the Directorate until 2016. Professor Nebath Tanglang who assumed office on the 1st of August 2016, handed over to Professor Godwin I. Akper who took over effective 1st September 2021.
